Last night, I’ve seen Edward Scissorhands on TV and watched it. That was like the nth time I’ve seen that film and it was only yesterday where I’ve learned that the film was written and directed by Tim Burton (Yeah silly me… *heh*). The same person who gave us " The nightmare before Christmas"  and  I think he has something new coming up this year… ummm… just forgot the title but I’ve seen the spoiler.. ah, " Corpse Bride". yeah that is…   Anyways, what got my interest about this guy is that, most of his films (at least the ones i’ve seen) have this fairy tale like or child like theme but with eccentric yet admirable characters. Pretty queer huh?! Oh well, I still like watching his films. ^_^

So anyway, what I did today was I googled some facts about him and here’s what I got:

_his full name is Timothy William Burton and was born on  August 25, 1958, Burbank California.

_he loves painting, drawing and movies

_was once an animator for Disney who worked on The Fox and the Hound

_he later became a conceptual artist — a person who design the characters that appear in the films

_his concept drawings didn’t suit Disney’s standard character and he was set loose on his own projects

_he was married to Lena Gieseke, a German artist  but  got separated. Then he started dating Lisa Marie (Mars Attacks, Sleepy Hallow) but that didn’t last as well.

_on October 2003 he had a son to Helena Bonham Carter (Planet of the Apes) and named him Billy

_Some of his works/movies: PEE-WEE’s Big adventure, Beetlejuice, Batman,  Batman Returns, Mars, Attacks, Sleepy Hallow, Planet of the Apes, Big Fish, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
